Excerpted from "The Blade", Saturday, Aug. 11, 1962: Edward L. Baldinger, 80, of 936 Francis Ave., died yesterday in Mercy Hospital. He was a lifelong Toledo resident and was a passenger train conductor for 45 years before retiring 8 years ago. Surviving are sons, Gail, Toledo, and Glenn, Los Angeles; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Orpha Miller, Toledo; a brother, Albert, Detroit, and seven grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. James Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Excerpted from "The Blade", Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998: Gail E. Baldinger, 90, died February 5, 1998. Mr. Balding-- was born in Toledo and resided in Tallmadge, OH the past years, moving there from Mt. Vernon, OH. He retired in 1973 from Owens Illinois Glass in Toledo and had previously been employed in the hotel business and had been manager of the Secor Hotel. He was a member of the Unity Church in Toledo and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Rev. Paul Beal of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sat., Feb. 21, 1998 at the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Chapel of Good Shepherd, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Rev. Paul Beal officiating. Final resting place Northlawn Memorial Gardens, Cuyahoga Falls.
