Sorry, the "book" is at the library but I have found his obit. It was published in the "Toledo Blade", Thurs. Nov. 17, 1949, a long 10 column inch obit, but the basics are: Alphonso C. Westrick, 2946-131st St. collapsed and died of a heart attack yesterday afternoon while hunting in a field near Mitchaw Rd. and Sylvania Ave. He was 56. He was hunting with four friends from Sylvania and was dead upon arrival of the Sylvania Rescue Squad. Born in Henry County, Ohio, Mr. Westrick had lived in Toledo 30 years and was a Prudential Insurance Co. salesman in Toledo for 19 years. He was a member of St. John's parish and its Holy Name and St. Vincent de Paul societies; the George C. Sutton Post of the American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2873 and 23rd Engineers Association. Surviving are wife, Mary; daughters, Sister Mary Dominic, RSM, Jackson, Mich.; and Joan Westrick, Toledo; sons, Joseph, William, John and Robert, all of Toledo; brother, John of Maumee and sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher, Napoleon, O., and Mrs. Agnes Okuley, New Bavaria, O. The body is in the home where services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and at 10 a.m. in St. John's Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
