Death notice from the "Toledo Blade", July 27, 1949, 2-29-7:
PRINGLE-IVAN, age 49 years, of 1809 Lawrence Ave., Toledo, suddenly Sunday, July 24 at Mann, W.Va. Beloved husband of Sarah.
Remains resting at the Rossford Funeral Home where friends may call and services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.
Interment at Ft. Meigs Cemetery. VFW Post No. 2898 will have charge of the military services.
Obit from the "Toledo Blade, July 27, 1949, 2-16-5:
Services for Ivan Pringle, 1809 Lawrence Ave., will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Rossford Funeral Home, with burial in Fort Meigs Cemetery. Lucas County Council Post, VFW, will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
Mr. Pringle, 49, was injured fatally Monday in a truck crash near Mann, W.Va. He was a driver for the Toledo Van & Storage Co. He served with a field artillery unit in World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah; sons, Richard Pringle, Pemberville, O, and Robert and Bert James, Toledo; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Santford Pringle, Perrysburg; sisters, Mrs. Ernest Wintersteen, Toledo and Mrs. Glen Burdo and Mrs. Robert Finch, Perrysburg, and brothers, Gordon, of Rossford and Donald, Perrysburg.
There were several PRINGLE marriage records in Lucas County, 1895-1928 but no Ivan. I found Calvin and Robert 1895-1911; Howard and Manley 1912-22 and Alvin, Dan and Guy 1923-28.
