My mother's family lines converged in Madison County, OH where I find them circa 1850 before they moved on to Bates County, MO before 1870.
Looking for information on any of these families, especially the following:
Isreal Bigelow and family. Thomas Timmons and Hannah (Silver) Peebles. William D. Daugherty (Darety/Doraty).
Isreal Bigelow's daughter Mary Melvina married William D. Daugherty.Their daughter Mary Dimmis Daugherty (spelled Doraty on marriage record) married Thomas Foster Timmons in Sep 1858, son of Thomas Timmons and Hannah.
Several of William D. Daugherty's other children died in Madison County.Where are they buried?
Where are the Bigelows buried?
The Timmons lived in West Jefferson, the others in Plain City (originally Pleasant Valley).I think the Timmons are in the Alder Chapel cemetery as Thomas Timmons married 2nd Margaret Alder.
Can anyone do cemetery lookups? What about land records?
In the "History of Madison County" Thomas' parents are listed in two different places. In one place they are called Peter Timmons and Sarah Taylor; in another Peter and Elizabeth Timmons. There is an Elizabeth Timmons in the Thomas Timmons h/h on the 1860 census.Does anyone have additional information on this to clarify?
