Obituary – Mrs. Martha Betts (nee Blue) – The Madison Press, February 9, 1971. Mrs. Martha Betts, 88, of 158 E. First st, London, died Sunday afternoon in Madison County Hospital. She was the widow of Edward Betts, and was a member of the former Union Chapel Methodist Church of Yatesville. She was born near Yatesville Dec. 29, 1882, a daughter of Clinton and Mary (Dhume) Blue. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Jesse (Belva) Wissler and nephew Raymond Wissler, both of Sedalia. Friends may call at the RADER FUNERAL HOME, London, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m. Tuesday where services will be held Wednesday at 1 p. m. Rev. Virgil Hamilton will officiate and burial will be in Kirkwood Cemetery.
