Raymond Malcom Rea, 78, died Sunday afternoon at his home at 235 South Main St in London. He was born in London on July 27, 1895 the son of Joseph and Mollie Gulcher Rea.He was a Madison Co Court clerk and a retired New York Central Railroad Agent.He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of London, a member of Chandler Lodge No 138 F%AM, and a veteran of WW1. He is survived by his wife, Ione Smith Rea; one son, Raymond Rea Jr of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Elaine) Tope of London; three grandchildren, Stephen Tope of Dayton, Mrs. Sallie Trimble of Mt. Sterling and Melinda Rea of Dayton, and 2 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Rader Funeral Home, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday where services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am.Rev. Gordon Johnson will officiate and burial will be in Paint Township Cemetery. Just a personal note, Raymond "broke" me in when I started working part time at County Court many many years ago.I worked the night shift and on the week-ends for many years.He was a very pleasant man to be around, I most say.
