My Dad has already told me that he remembers visiting, as a child, a family that lived on the winding road down into Lowellville that goes past the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club. Grandpa Joe and Grandma Minnie once lived on Dobbins Road across from the Poland High School. My father lived on the corner of Dobbins Road and Struthers Road sometime in the mid 1930's with his mother and step-father, Ed (Pete) Sauer (he was later a master carpenter for the Ohlin Brothers of New Middletown).Dad does remember that some Shingledeckers also lived on that same corner. One of Grandpa Joe's uncles, Joseph Calvin McCreary born Hillsville, PA and died in Youngstown, OH, married a Lois Ripple of Edinburg, PA that left among others, a sister Mrs. C. W. Shingledecker of Hillsville and another named Mrs. L. F. McCullough of Edinburg. May I have your regular email address or your U. S. mailing address?I'd like to send you some info on Grandpa Joe's Family that you father may enjoy reading. It is not a Gedcom file.It is basically about 9 pages of Misc. info about births, deaths and family history in Joe's family. My email address is:email@example.com I will try to get to the Open House on Sunday, no promises though.Something always comes up on the weekends for us. I have 3 albums with info on the McCreary Families of Mahoning Twp.They contain many obits, death certificates and family info. They start with Joseph, born 1816 and Nancy White born, 1823 McCreary.
