Valley Chapel Church, 1822 - was organized in 1822, theyear of the township's organization....by Rev. McCleary. the first church cost $250". In 1840, a second building was erected. the cost $600. and was dedicated by the Rev. George G. Waters. One day during the record floodyear, 1913, the little old church in the valley was wrecked by the force of the river and was swept down Dye's Fork Stream. The church was located so near the quarter section line of Section 8....a mile north of of Wood Grove. Also, do you have any information on Seeleyville?
