Thanks again for providing so much information. You must have a wonderful collection of genealogical data at your fingertips.Summarizing the last few posts on this subject I now see a picture unfolding.
John and Rebecca Arthurs (her maiden name is possibly Brown) have the following children: Eliza/Elizabeth (b. 1823), Rebecca (b. 1824), Julia Ann(b. 1832) and Joseph H..Eliza married Daniel Miller, Rebecca married a Black, no marriage listed for Julia Ann and Joseph married Rebecca Reeves. Was there more than one Arthurs family in the Preble County area in 1850 or was John Arthurs and his family the only line?
Daniel and Eliza/Elizabeth (Arthurs) Miller had the following children:William (b. 1850), Henry (b. 1851), Julia Ann (b. 1853) and James (04 Nov 1856).Can I assume that Daniel and Eliza (Arthurs) Miller were not found in the 1850 Preble County census?Any thoughts on where they might have been Butler? Darke? Hamilton?
Back to John and Rebecca Arthurs.I show John died before the 1850 census and Rebecca living with Samuel Brown in 1850 and then with his son Abraham in 1860.Rebecca's age suggests that she is a possible sister to Samuel Brown and William Brown. Does this make sense to you?
It looks like I will need to get to the Preble County courthouse to find Wills and Deeds on the Arthurs, Browns and Millers to verify the above.I will also look for marriages for the above names.
Any other information you might have in hand on these three families that might help my next phase would be helpful, though you have certainly surpassed all my expectations of my original request.
