I found her ! I found her! Copied from the Chillicothe Gazette, JUly 9,1945 Mrs. Elta Helfrich Mrs. Elta Helfrich,82, of Frankfort waas found dead at her home at 7:30 pm by her niece, Mrs. Carrie Long. Mrs. Long had been to the home of her aunt about noon and she appeared in her usual good health. When she called again in the evening,she found her dead sitting in a chair. Cause of death was ascribed to apoplexy. She was born in Vinton County Oct. 26,1862,the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. George Ireland. She was married to Adolph Helfrich and they moved to Frankfort about 55 years ago where they opeerated a restaurant for a number of years. He preceded her in death 29 yrs ago.She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. George Channel of Jackson, Mrs. Fred Nunley of Chillicothe and Mrs. John Farris and Mrs. Emma Young both of Byers; two brothers, William Ireland of Dayton and Hime Ireland of Wellston and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters preceded her in death. Services will be conducted from the residence in Frankfort at 2 pm Wednesday. with the Rev. R.L.Reynolds, former Frasnkfort pastor but now of West Union officiating. Burial will be made at Greenlawn cemetery, Frankfort under the direction of the Fisher Funeral Home.Friends may call at the residence.
