Looking for two graves in Scioto County. My ggg-grandfather, Adolph (Johann Heinrich Adolph)Spellman, died in Scioto County about 1850. One son is buried at South Webster Cemetery. The son died in 1848. The family had lived a short time in Lawrence county, Elizabeth township. They are listed there in the 1840 census. But apparently moved to Scioto county by 1848 when the son died at the age of 18. Have been to the cemetery and have looked thru the records, but there is no other Spellman buried there that early besides the son, John Spellman. Another son of Adolph helped build Harrison Furnace which is near Minford in 1853, but we think the father had died prior to that time. We have been to Scioto county and looked thru about 8 cemeteries in those areas and thru cemetery books but can not find anything on Adolph Spellman's death.
Also looking for the grave and death date and place of Hinrich Meyers (german spelling--Meirs) and sometimes spelled Myers. Hinrich's son, John, married Adolph Spellman's daughter, Eliza, in 1842 and they lived in Scioto County for a few years and then moved to Iowa. We believe that Hinrich died about July or August 1839. but can not find where he is buried.
Does anyone know of these two men or where they might be buried. It has been quite mystifying. Thanks
