Think you will recall that we have corresponded in the past but thought I'd go ahead and post what I did find:
Wyrick info from the 1850 Census for Champion, Trumbull Co., OH (taken in July) Page 18 of 26
First, what we know we can connect to:
Peter Wyrick, age 30, born Guernsey Co., OH, farmer, no property value
Sarah Ann, age 27, born Virginia
Betsy Ann, age 5, born Trumbull
Almon, age 3, born Trumbull
Levi, age 9 months
Next to this family is:
J. Michael Wyrick, age 77, born PA., farmer, property $1600
Nancy, age 74, born PA.
Next to them:
Andrew J. Wyrick, age 28, born Columbiana Co., OH, farmer & laborer; no property; "in jail on an indictment for burglary"
Julia Ann, age 24, born Virginia
John M., age 7, born Trumbull
Nancy, age 5, born Trumbull
Robert, age 3, born Trumbull
Olive, age 9 months, born Trumbull
Next to them:
Samuel Wyrick, age 24, born Trumbull, farmer & laborer, no property; "in jail for burglary"
Lois, age 22, born New York
Sarah C., age 2, born Trumbull
Eunice Elizabeth, age 5 months, born Trumbull
So now we need to figure out the connections. The obvious would be J.Michael as father of these 3 sons, but we know not to assume.Possibility that Sarah Ann & Julia Ann could be Cummins sisters since both from Virginia. And why are Peter, Andrew & Samuel all born in different counties?Maybe J. Michael was a traveling salesman?
1860 Champion, Trumbull Census lists only one Wirick (sic)Catherine, age 68 residing in County Infirmary .... no others
