In reviewing Rev. War pension files, I found Amos Pierson of Ct who applied for his pension from Mecca, Trumbull Co. I'm seeking any information that may connect him to a Samuel Pierson born in the western Pa eastern OH area in 1821. There is a liste of Amos's children in the record. I have been able to locate Lyman Pierson on the 1850 census. The record indicates that this family was in Mecca in 1832 . It also states that they had been there abt 9 yrs at the time of the pension application. I can't locate them on a census index for 1840 althought both Amos and his wife Sarah Johnson were alive at that time. Nor can I find Lyman there although his deposition is from Mecca also.Acc. to the record, Amos and Sarah had: Hannah 3 Jan 1791 in CT Lyman 3 Oct 1795 in Ct Lucy Mariah 1 Oct 1799 in CT Harriet 3 Jan 1802 ? CT or OH David Johnson Pierson 4 may 1804 and one whose first name is unreadable b. 13 Jan 1807.
Lyman is married to a Polly (mary) on the 1850 census. He has children old enough to have been my Samuel's brothers .
I've been searching for my Samuel' ancestors for 8 - 9 yrs. Any help in finding these Pierson's I'd be grateful. Merry Anne
