n the name of God, Amen. I John Reel of Weathersfield Township Trumbull County and State of Ohio being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding and being desirous to settle my worldly afairs whilst i have capacity so to do. do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby working and making void all former wills by me at any time here to for made. And first and principally i commit my spirit into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be interred at the discretion of my Executors here in after named and as to such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to intrust me . I dispose of the same as followeth after all my Just debts and funeral expences are paid out of my estate by my Executors I give and bequeath to my son Peter Reel one hundred acres of Land of the north side of the farm I now live on agreeable to a survey made by Eli Baldwin A.D. 1826. I also give and bequeath to my son John Reel one hundred and one acres and a half of the Lands off of the south side of the aforesaid farm agreeable to the survey made by Eli Baldwin A.D. 1826. I also give and bequeath to my son John Reel (in addition to the aforesaid land bequeathed to him) the sum of thirty dollars. It is also my will and intention that my son Peter Reel pay to my Executors the sum of five hundred and twenty seven dollars & fifty cents as following, Fifty dollars within two years after my death and fifty dollars yearly until the above sum of $527.50 are paid to be paid in horses cattle or sheep to be appraised at cash price. It is also my will that the remainder of the land after Peter and John have got their quantity and all other property that i have at my decease shall be sold by my executors. I will and bequeath to my son Jacob Reel ninety dollars. I will and bequeath to my daughter Juliana Kinsley one hundred and fifty dollars. I will and bequeath to my daughter matty Reel one hundred and fifty dollars. I will and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Taylor one hundred and fifty dollars provided she should bei in want and if she can live comfortable without it then her share to be devided equally amngst the children the said Margaret had to her first husband Michael Greer. I will and bequeath to my daughter Catherine Mckinney one hundred and fifty dollars to be laid out in the purchase of land for her use during her life and at her death to go to her children and it is my will that my executors purchase and they are hereby authorised and empowered to purchase lands for the said Catherine and pay out all money that may be coming to her out of my estate for lands as they may think most beneficial for her and her children. I will and bequeath to my Grand Children George and John Goist each seventy five dollars. I will and bequeath to my daughter Christina Fortney thirty dollars to be paid in five* yearly payments of five dollars in clothes for said Christina. it is never the less my will that if the aforesaid Peter and John Reel or either of them should bring in a bill against my Estate for wages or work done for me since they are twenty one years of age that the land before mentioned that they should have shall not be given to them but shall be sold and five dollars only given to such of them as shall claim wages. And if any of my other children should claim wages as above it is my will they receive only five dollars out of my estate as their share. It is also my will and intention that if their is any overflow of my estate after the aforesaid legacies are paid that it shall be divided equally amongst such of my children as shall not claim wages as above mentioned. It is also my will that the Horses Cattle and Sheep mentioned to be paid by my son Peter to my executors should be sold and divided amongst my children according to their shares ( in proportion) by my Executors. And i alos do hereby contitutle and appoint William Bard (of Liberty) and my son John Reel Exectutors of this my las will and testament. In witne?? Does anyone recognize these people? John came to Ohio from PA in abt. 1800. The land mentioned was divided and the farm John lived on was sold at his death to Frederick Platt (plott) matty - her name was not capitolized and she died in 1838.
