I'm looking for information on my husband's great-great grandparents Joseph S. Kohn & Ida B. Lang. I have the following information, but I'm stuck and can't seem to work my way backwards.
Joseph was born about 1809 in Pennsylvania (according to the 1850 census of Franklin Twp., Wayne County, OH.) His occupation was listed as Physician. He was married to Bethia Yordy (b. abt. 1818)in 1835 in Wayne County. They had at least 4 children: 1.) Sarah M., born abt 1839 2.) Edward C., born abt 1840 3.) Wesley M., born abt 1846 4.) Thomas Berkley Kohn, born Dec 17, 1848, died March 17, 1919. The children were all born in Ohio.
Thomas Berkley Kohn was my husband's great-grandfather. He married Ida B. Lang (b. December 31, 1853, d. January 31, 1919) from Altoona, PA. They were married October 3, 1875 in Benedict, York County, Nebraska. Their children were: 1.) Victor Lee Kohn, b. July 28, 1876 in Benedict, York Co., NE, d. January 26, 1940 in Omaha, Douglas Co., NE. 2.) Earl Joseph Kohn, b. September 9, 1880, d. September 18, 1914 in Emporia, Lyon County, KS 3.) Mabel M. Kohn, b. September, 1883 4.) Cecil R. Kohn, b. June 1884, d. January 18, 1917 5.) Pearl Golda Kohn (my husband's grandmother), b. April 13, 1888, d. December 31, 1946 in Denver, CO 6.) Lovell E. T. Kohn, b. April 23, 1890, d. January 28, 1919
Thomas Berkley Kohn, Ida B. & Lovell all died from the flu epidemic in 1919. Earl died (unmarried) from pneumonia. Pearl kept a little book that she wrote info in & kept (undated) newspaper clippings on marriages & deaths.
I have some additional info on the grandchildren of Thomas & Ida if that would help anyone. Any info would be much appreciated.
