Jean Jacques Roux, son of Jean Jacques & Catherine Quider, of Seloncourt, Doubs, France m. Catherine Thorout, and had the following children: George Roux (1817),Catherine Elizabeth (1819), Elisabeth (1818). George married Catherine E. and had children: Henry Peter Roux and Susanne Mary Ann Roux. They were born in Ohio. Henry Peter had a son Henry Peter and James Emile. James moved to Fort Wayne, IN.
Another brother to George was possibly Frederick who married Mary Reno and had the following children: George Frederick, 1850, Julia, Frederick, all born in Seloncourt, France. George Frederick and sister Julia moved to Fort Wayne, IN, he in 1874 where he married Louise Perlet, and she in 1878 with his son from his first marriage, Charles Adolphus Roux, born 1871 in Alsace. George Frederick's obit lists Louisa Pointsett as his wife, however, he was married to Louise Perlet. The obit also lists Julia as being a Poinsette, his sister, but I haven't been able to find any Poinsette related to her in the Fort Wayne, IN area. Also, an Emile Poinsette is listed as the nephew of George Frederick but there was no Emile Poinsette that I could find in the area...only James Emile Roux. Since all of these families came from Seloncourt, I'm sure they are all related.
