I looked up SHOE/SHUE in my various books, and the Beers History of Wood Co. lists Abraham Shoe as one of the early landowners in Montgomery Twp. There is also a list of the males over 21 in the year 1839; included are Abraham, Jacob & Frederick Shoe. There are 6 Shoes & 7 Shues listed in the burials at Ft. Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg, but none of the names you asked about. The census indexes do not list any Shoe for 1830; there is a Patrick Shew in Montgomery Twp. in the 1840 listing. The 1850 lists Abraham & Frederick Shoe in Montgomery Twp., Jacob & Phillip Shoe in Perry Twp. 1860- Abraham, Frederick, & Jacob Shoe in Montgomery Twp.; Phillip & Stephen in Perry Twp; Phillip & Wm. in Portage Twp; Dibet(?) in Perrysburg Twp. There are more of that surname in later census indexes. There is a biography of Abraham Shoe in the 1875 Atlas of Wood Co. It gives his birth date and place, parents & siblings' names (mother's maiden name was Catherine Dell), & infomation about his wife & children. There is also a biography of his son, Jacob H. Shoe. It states that his parents were Pennsylvanians, that Jacob H. was born in Carroll Co., and that the family moved to Wood Co. in 1835. I can give you more detailed information if you think this is the right family.
