The Rutherford B. Hayes Museum has an online newspaper file that lists obituaries and marriages that were printed in various newspapers in the Fremont area. I entered FLOWERS as a surname and got 10 hits, including Charles; FRANCIS got about 50, including H.A.. You also might try the online obit index at the Wood Co. District Public Library site- they have the obits that were printed in the Bowling Green paper. As for census records, there was a William FLOWER listed in the 1830 Wood Co. census, the 1840 had no FLOWER, but 3 FOWLERs listed; there are also FOWLERs in the 1850 & 1860 censuses. In 1860, there is also an Ursala FRANCES in Perrysburg Twp. In 1870, Peter FLOWERS is in Milton Twp., also Edward, George, & Mary FRANCE; David N. FRANCES is in Portage Twp., Zephem FRANCIS is in Freedom Twp, A. FRANCISCO is in Lake Twp. By 1880, there are many listings of FRANCIS, FRENCH, FRANCE, FRANTZ, etc., and Peter FLOWERS, still in Milton Twp. The Probate Death Records index lists Mary Ann FLOWERS, died 12 Mar 1887 in Milton Twp., age 64y,1m,10d; Arvila FRANCIS, died 12 Feb 1872 in Troy Twp., age 61y,3m,12d; Mary A. FRANCIS, died 4 May 1885 in GR [Grand Rapids?], age 50. Hope this is useful!
