Hi! I was worried that you may not get my message. Thank you for your response!I am related through John Stephen Hunt. He is my 2nd great-grandfather. John and Benjamin Hunt both seem to have Stephen as their middle name. Do you have names of all their siblings, parent, dates of birth etc. Their father may have been Stephen?Do you know where they came from in England? Are there any family stories? When did Benjamin come to America? They seem to tie into the Fletcher family through Sarah Fletcher being mother to John and Benjamin and Eliza etc. do you have that connection too in your records? I have found John in Liberty, Johnson Co., Iowa in 1854 Iowa census and 1856 with the same wife as in the 1850 U S Census in Ohio. Then in 1860 in Van Buren, Van Buren, Iowa. (different wife). 1870 in Troy, Monroe Co. Iowa, another wife still. Another posting from Kellie Robinson on the genforums has John's death date as 1871 or 1881.Since his wife is married to someone else in 1880 it makes sence that he died in 1871.I have not yet found any more death information. We have been looking for this Hunt family for years and because of listings like your I am getting more pieces of the puzzle that seem to fit.At any rate. I am related through John's daughter Mary Elizabeth who married Thomas Mears and lived in Keokuk, Iowa. I would very much appreciate any information you have on this branch of the family as they have been so hard to locate. Did Eliza's family stay in Ohio?
