Is there anyone on this forum who actually lies in BEaver County who would be willing to check the courthouse records for me?
I am trying to find the burial place for Malendeth Alfred Dunn (born 2-20-1881 KS).
He and his wife and family are shown on teh 1910 census in Beaver County, Grand Valley Township. He registered for the draf for WW I on 9-12-1918.They had two children (Delores C. and Vernon L.)
I have done exhaustive searches for the family on the 1920 census and nothing has been found - for any of them.I'm thinking they may have died during the flu epidemic that swept the country. His brother and sister in law died in 1917 and are buried in teh Gray Cemetery near where Malendeth lived. Malendeth and his wife are not buried there.
Was there a pauper's cemetery anywhere around? Someone suggested that perhaps they were buried in the cemetery at/near Perryton, TX and I have mailed a query to there.
Some Oklahoma Counties kept what is called a death index at the county courthouse (even though death records were to have been sent to OKC).I have found a death index in many OK counties well into the 1920s and would like to see if there is anything at the courthouse on the death of Malendeth Dunn and his wife, children.
