Cross posting this from the Stubblefield message board: I see that you posted that you are a descendant of : James Robert Stubblefield was my great grand father. He was born in Gibson Co. Tenn. on October 25, 1851. He married Fannie V.Mauldin, who was born in Pooleville, [CARTER CO., OK] Okla on October 13, 1857. They did live in Sulphur Bluff, Texas, as early as 1875. My grandfather, James Henry Stubblefield was born there. He was the oldest of seven children. The other children were Mary,1877, Martha,1878, Georgia, 1882, Benjamin, 1889, Dennis Herman, 1891, and Jessie Lee, 1902. All are now dead, however, Herman lived to be 102 or 103 years old. Would love to know if you know anything about James Robert and his ancestry. I have pretty good records of all of these children, their desendants, to the present.
