This is EXTREMELY interesting!!What year was your grandfather born? Was it before 1887?We have confirmed through marriage records that Benjamin married Mary F. Davis on January 20, 1887 in Sebastian Co., Ark.Now I am wondering if "Ole Ben" was actually married 4 times?!?The reason is....we know for sure that the grave in Boswell is my husband's great grandfather.Ben's granddaughter, my mother-in-law, remembers him very well, and I believe that she went to his funeral in Boswell. She is the daughter of Mary who was Ben's daughter by his first wife (or maybe his second wife?).Could this "ladies' man" have been a bigamist? Hmmmmmm?!?!?The mystery deepens.
Please let me know what year your grandfather was born so I can get him placed in the family tree and start researching from there. What was Catherine's maiden name? What do you know about her family?Did she re-marry?
At any rate, if you are positive that this particular Benjamin is your great grandfather, then you and my husband are "half-second-cousins", if I am reading my chart correctly.
