In the late 1800s and early 1900s there were several small communities in rural Cleveland County. Of those in the southern portion, five actually were designated as post offices in the 1890s: Box, Buckhead, Pecan, Corbett, and Lexington.
I would love to find information about BOX, BUCKHEAD, or PECAN!
Do you know of someone who lived there? Or can you recall any stories about any of the communities? Do you know what businesses were located there? Are there any photos taken in any of these small burgs?
Or do you perhaps know someone who might have any of the info for which I'm searching?
