"Bill" Taylor, 84, will be at 2 pm Sunday in the Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Harvey Kornegay and Rev. Sam Tucker officiating.Burial will follow in the Enid cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.The family will greet friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 7 to 9 pm. He was born April 6, 1913 in Belleville, Arkansas to John W. and Virginia James Taylor and died Thursday, October 30, 1997 at his home. He grew up in Holdenville and lived on a farm for 31 years.He worked in various states in the oil fields mainly as a pumper.He retired form the Fairview County Barn in 1978. He married Ester James in 1939.He later married Evangeline Dimick Roberts in 1988 in Enid. He played in the RSVP Band in Enid for 15 years and prior to playing in the Enid Band, he was very active in the Band at Fairview. He was a member of the Northwest Baptist Church in Stockton, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Evangeline of the home; three sons, Robert Taylor of Pasadena, Texas, Randall Taylor of Lexington, Texas, and Samuel Taylor of Enid; one daughter,Carolyn Smith of Denver, Colorado; six step-daughters, Jean Hudspeth of Dickinson, Texas, Patricia Rohrs of Lamont, Jan Miles and Cheri McGrath both of Enid and Linda Gillette of Moore, Joan Kendall of Lone Grove; one sister, Kit McFarland of Locust Grove; eleven grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, an infant chld, two brothers, and two sisters. Contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds."
