Ruby Frances Violet Hart
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Ruby Frances Violet Hart, 83, were Saturday at the First Baptist Church with Ronnie Payne and Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Interment followed at Tishomingo Cemetery.
Born Sept. 15, 1920, in Oklahoma City to John and Hazel Violet, she died Oct. 29, 2003, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Thompson, and an infant brother, Laurence Violet.
She married Richard Lee Hart on Oct. 8, 1939, in Madill.
She was a member of Bullard Chapel Baptist Church and was active in many organizations, including Gidean's Auxiliary, Bullard Chapel W.M.U. and was a charter member of Bullard Chapel Quilting Club. She was also involved in teaching Sunday school and mission organizations.
Survivors include a son, Ronny Hart, Tishomingo; three daughters, Jeanne Corbin, Connerville, Mary Wood, Kennedale, Texas, and Violet Lane, Dallas; two brothers, Lewis Violet and Lee Violet; and three sisters, Myrtle Scrutchins, Bessie Elliott and Florence Violet.
Bearers were Mark Vandevier, Dalyn Hart, Mike Vandevier, Jack Mattlessen, Darrell Wood and Darin Hart.
