Lizzie Cooper"s parents were Landon and Elizabeth Cooper, and is confirmed by the Kay County Marriage records. The Coopers are buried at the Ponca City IOOF Cemetery, so it seemed likely that Lizzie was not buried at this cemetery.Landon was born 6 Feb 1870 and died 05 November 1950.Betty was born 2 September 1871 and died 25 July 1946.Since both had tombstones, it seemed likely that Lizzie would have one, also, had she died before them.
A check of the Kay County marriage records showed that Lizzie married Joe Vance on 5 May 1928.A check of their marriage record also confirmed the bride's father was Landon Cooper.Lizzie and Frank Jackson were residing in Ponca City at the time the 1926 city directory was published. So, Lizzie must have been divorced from Frank Jackson between 1925 and 1928,
The Divorce index for that time has been stolen from the library, so, I could not determine the date of their divorce. You'll have to get that info from the Kay County Court Clerk at Newkirk. (A curse on all who have stolen research material.May they never find any more genealogy information, and if they do, may that information be incorrect.)
Lizzie Cooper Jackson Vance was listed as surviving and living at Claremore, OK, in 1946 when her mother died. Her father's Obit in 1950 did not list any survivors.
