I did and didn’t find Mary. This is what is available:
The Kingfisher Weekly Free Press, Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Thursday, March 27, 1930, page 5, col 4. Omega News: Mrs Royalty is very ill. All the children have been called home.
then the paper skips to April 10.April 3rd is missing and I believe THATpaper would have an obituary for reasons you will see in the next items:
Kingfisher Times, Thursday, April 10, 1930, page (I didn’t note page number), col 5 Card of Thanks
We wish to thank our many friends and neighbors for their kindness during the illness and death of our beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother; also for the beautiful floral offerings.Mr J E Royalty, Mrs James Eaton and family, Carl Royalty and family, Mrs Oren Pemberton and family, Bill Royalty and family, Mrs Roy Thompson and family, Mrs Ernest Wright and family, Ben Walker and family, Ernest Walker and family, Mrs Dick Lucas and family, Mrs G Brown and family, Clyde Walker, C H Walker and family, Clay Walker, Dock Walker.
-------------- there is no obituary in the April 10th Kingfisher paper. --------------
so I checked Watonga.Omega is about half-way between Kingfisher and Watonga.
The Watonga Republican, Watonga, Blaine Co, Oklahoma, Thursday, April 3, 1930, page 2, col 5 Carl of Thanks We the undersigned wish to thank our friends and neighbors for their untiring kindness during the sickness and death of our loved one, also for the beautiful flowers and the words of comfort and consolation, also the minister and singers who so kindly assisted in the burial of our loved one.
----- no obituary in the April 3rd Watonga newspaper.Yet it tells that the funeral has already been conducted by that date. That’s why I think if one appeared, it was probably in the missing April 3rd Kingfisher newspaper.I checked to see if the newspapers had been filmed out of order, and found that the 17th followed the 10th and the 24th followed the 17th, so decided that they probably had been filmed in the correct order.
