Truett of Whitewright, assisted by Rev. JAMES V. GRAY, pastor of the local church. . He was 35 years old and lived all his life in Marietta. He had been in the hardware and furniture business here. . Those surviving include his widow, children Clint and Mavis; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. MCCARTY, pioneers, and the following, all of whom attended the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. Beale McCarty of Sulphur, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest McCarty and daughter of Ada; Mrs. Frank Miller of Oakland, California; Mr. and Mrs. George English of Clemscot; Mr. and Mrs. Jenning McAnnally and family of Denver, Colorado; Mr. and Mrs. John T. Woods of Ada; Mr. and Mrs. John Balthrop of Ada, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Balthrop of Slidell, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Hal Purdy of Ardmore; Mr. and Mrs. M. W. McClure of Wichita, Kansas; A. P. Balthrop of Courtney; Mrs. Leper and Clyde Leper of Ardmore. . Burial was in Lakeview cemetery arranged by L. T. Burton funeral home. Pallbearers: W. C. Peden, Ben Owen, John Pickens, all of Ardmore; Russell Proctor of Sherman, D. L. Montgomery and Orren Wester.
