I found a little more and it tends to indicate that the 1900 census was correct ... that being Jerry's family.
In the 1910 census for 6-Twp, McCurtain Co, OK (this would be in the Iron Stob area) I find the same family: Augustus B. Holmes55TNVA/KY Mary (wife) 53ARTN/AR Burse (son)20 Lige (son)17 Lewis (son)15 Nellie (dau)15 Hattie (dau)11
Next door is possibly a son not shown in the 1900 census: Porter Holmes26 (widower)ARTN/AR John (son) 9 Ted (son)7 Mae (dau)6 Bessie (dau)4 Dora (dau)1 Carpenter, Pauline (step-dau) 13
two doors down further is possibly a brother to Augustus: Holmes, John67TNVA/KY Mattie (wife) 50TXAL/AL Alex (son)26OK
In the same area is the following (whom I'm sure is your Jerry)... the report is very hard to read): Homes (indexed as Hanes) Homes, Carol (head) 22 ARmarried 1 year Rosa (wife) 17 Guss R.(son) 2/12
in 1920, Kirk, McCurtain, Oklahoma (also the Iron Stob area) I find: Holmes, Jerry31AR Rosa(wife)27AR Guss (son) 9OK Arthur (son) 7OK Wheeler (son)5OK Hearshel (son)11/12 OK Johnie (boarder)19AR(I have no idea who this is)
Anyway ... I hope this contributes to your files favorably.
