I do lookups for people who post obits requests on the Stanislaus County (California) GenForum page. It is a RAOGK but I don't belong to the league.
Sometimes I use the Daily Search feature in GenForum for the phrase "Please Help" instead of doing crossword puzzles. When I do that, I'll read 100 - 150 headings at a sitting. After a couple of years of this odd little pastime I can usually tell from the heading how much experience someone has had with Internet genealogy and how likely it is I will be able to help them. Usually, not always.
Your heading looked like you were a rank beginner, so I offered you some helpful hints that were, in this case, completely worthless and even demeaning. I apologize.
Roughly 900,000 other researchers got the benefit of my advice on obituaries last week in the Roots Web Review. No one wrote to say how much it helped them, so I probably just re-stated the obvious to them, as I did for you.
I apologize again. I hope someone sees this and loos up your obit for you.
