Terry, you may have already covered this info, but here are some suggestions: First, I'm assuming your grandmother is no longer living. Locate her death certificate, or if you know the approximate date and location of her death, you can obtain a death certificate from the State of Okla. It will tell you her father's full name, and her mother's maiden name, and birth locations of each. Second, locate any great-aunts or uncles, or any other living relative, to give you as much information as possible. Third, take any records you get, such as death certificates, and work the census records. If your grandmother was part Indian, tribal census records are sometimes available pre-statehood. Some marriage records exist for Choctaws and other tribes. Just don't give up!Good luck.
