September 10, 1946 Accident Kills Ada Taximan An accident about 150 west of the west end of Sandy Bridge, west of Ada, took the life of GEORGE EDWARD STEWART, 46, early Tuesday afternoon. Passengers of two other vehicles involved in the collision, were not injured, but both of the other vehicles were damaged. Stewart of 307 South Stockton, driver of a Click’s Taxi, is believed to have been attempting to pass a 1938 Chevrolet driven by ALBERT E. MOLLER of El Reno when the taxi crashed headon into a 1942 Ford ton and a half truck driven by FLOYD E. ELMORE of 805 East Gardenia. …Stewart is survived by a wife, Mrs. MARCHIE STEWART, two sons EDWARD and GEORGE A., and a daughter ELIZABETH (MARCHIE ELIZABETH STEWART married in 1951 in same area). Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Criswell Funeral Home.

Ed Stewart GEORGE EDWARD STEWART, 48, died in an automobile accident near Ada Tuesday. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. from Criswell Funeral Chapel. Rev. CHESTER MASON officiated; burial in Rosedale cemetery. Pallbearers were VELMER SANDERS, ALBERT MCCOY, CLAUDE CLICK, CLYDE CLICK, LEON WALKER, and ELMO YEAGER. Survivors are the widow, a daughter, two sons and other relatives.
