Isaacs Killed in Vietnam Combat
Funeral services were held Sunday, 4 p.m., in Phenix City, Alabama, minister PERRY BLUE officiated for 1st Lt. ROYAL GEORGE ISAACS Jr., who died Friday, April 23, in Vietnam as a result of a gun shot wound in the chest. Isaacs was struck by small arms fire while on patrol which engaged a hostile force. This was Isaacs' second tour of duty in Vietnam. He returned in November after a previous six months' duty in 1963.
He leaves his wife, SHIRLEY, and seven-month old daughter of Fayetteville, North Carolina, originally of Phenix City, Ala.; his mother, Mrs. DOLLIE MCCURREY of Holdenville; his father ROYAL GEORGE ISAACS Sr. of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mrs. LARRY CRAVEN and a brother BILL ISAACS, both of Fairbanks, Alaska; his grandmothers, Mrs. R. W. BETTS of Holdenville and Mrs. ALICE ISAACS of Allen.
A plane was charterd and the relatives and friends left Ada Sunday morning to attend the funeral.
Attending the services included minister Perry Blue, Mrs. Alice Isaacs, Mrs. CLARICE HUNT, Mrs. Dollie McCurrey, Mrs. Larry Craven, Mr. and Mrs. JOHN ISAACS, Capt. and Mrs. JOHNNY PERHAM; Mr. and Mrs. JACK WRIGHT, Mr. and Mrs. JOHNNY WRIGHT, FRED KIMBROUGH, FRANK JARED, PETE JARED, Mrs. STELLA BRYAN, Miss IONA GILMORE, Mrs. MARIE DONAGHEY RIDDLE, Mrs. UNA SNYDER, Mrs. MYRTLE JONES and Mrs. ZANA WILBANKS.

Mrs. CLARIECE HUNT, Oklahoma City, and her grandson, STEVEN PERHAM of Lawton, Mrs. ALICE ISAACS, and Mr. and Mrs. ROYAL ISAACS attended funeral services held Friday at 2 p.m. in Tulsa for Mrs. EDNA BARRETT. Mrs. BARRETT died Wednesday at the age of 82 yearss. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Mrs. BARRETT was a sister of ROYAL ISAACS and a resident of Allen for several years.
