I'm searching for information about my great-great-grandparents, P.F. and Frances (Fannie) Scott Phillips. I don't have the death dates for either of them.
I have no evidence that P.F. Phillips ever lived in Washita County. The last recorded residence in a census that I've been able to find for P.F. and Frances is in Galveston County Texas in 1900. I know that their daughter (my great-grandmother), Mary Jane Phillips, married my great-grandfather, John Benjamin Valentine, in Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas, in 1903, and that Mary Jane and John moved from Ellis Co TX to Washita Co OK sometime in the period of 1905-08.
The only information I have about Frances' life in Washita County is a recollection by my mother that Frances was buried in the cemetery at Sentinel. Frances' daughter, Mary Jane, and her family lived in Cloud Chief (where both my grandmother and mother were born), and I've not found any record so far that indicates that P.F. or Frances lived near their daughter's family in Cloud Chief. I assume that at least Frances lived in or near Sentinel at the time of her death, which would explain why she was buried there.
Any leads would be appreciated. If you have access to a listing of the burials in the Sentinel Cemetery, I would appreciate a confirmation that at least Frances is buried there, with the dates of birth and death listed on her tombstone.
