WILLIAM SYMONS Rainier, Or. Dec. 27 William Symons, resident of Rainier for 40 years, died at his home early this morning, following an illness of three weeks. He was a justice of the peace in Rainier for 12 years, and for 14 years served as city recorder and police judge, leaving that position in 1924. He was born at Boscastle, England, on November 19, 1847, and as a young man sailed on an English ship in all parts of the world.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon from the Odd Fellows’ Hall, the local lodge in charge of services.
