Hardage HARDAGE, Lacy T. - age 83, of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at a local hospital. He was born November 28, 1916 in Bismarck, Arkansas, son of Thomas Edward and Martha LouElla (Meeks) Hardage. He was raised and educated in the Bismarck area. He served in the C.C. Camps before entering the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Hattie Stembridge on June 6, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas. They lived in Baltimore, Maryland and Mobile, Alabama before moving to California, settling in Torrance. He worked in the oil industry for many years, retiring in 1976. They moved to Oregon in January of 1977. Lacy enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and camping. He was also there to help his family with his carpentry and mechanical skills and very much liked helping Hattie with her flower garden. He is survived by his wife of over fifty nine years, Hattie of Myrtle Creek, a daughter Patsy Hosteler of Myrtle Creek, three sons, Donald & his wife Nadine of Lookingglass, Jerry and his wife Sharon of Gretna, Nebraska and Terry and his wife Patina of Gore, Oklahoma, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A son, Charles, who passed away in 1997, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at Taylor's Family Chapel on Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. Officiating will be Pastor Wayne Knox. Interment will follow at Roseburg Memorial Gardens with military rites by the VFW District Twelve Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of TAYLOR'S FAMILY CHAPEL."
Julie Reynoso, niece of Lacy T. Hardage, said her g grandparents, Thomas E. and Ella (Meeks) Hardage, had 4 children: Dayton Hardage; Clayton Hardage; Dale Hardage; Lacy Hardage.
