Charlie T. Schultz
The memorial service for Charlie T. Schultz will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, at Perl Funeral Home in Medford. The Rev. Earl Best will officiate.Mr. Schultz, 89, of Jacksonville, died May 6, 2002, at Providence Medford Medical Center.Memorial contributions may be made to the Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Department, Jacksonville, OR 97530.He was born Aug. 10, 1912, in Seattle, to Charles and Charlotta Schultz. He married Elizabeth Sams, who died in 2001. They were married for 71 years and lived in Seattle and Montesano, Wash., before moving to Jacksonville in 1950.Mr. Schultz worked in the logging industry for many years before owning and operating Rogue Lapidary Manufacturing Co. in Medford.He enjoyed traveling, reading, hunting and fishing, gold panning and making agate jewelry.Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Hamilton, Medford, Mary Wojack, Central Point, and Shirley Guches, Jacksonville; six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.

Elizabeth A. Schultz
The funeral service for Elizabeth A. Schultz will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Perl-Siskiyou Funeral Home, Medford. The Rev. Earl Best will officiate.Mrs. Schultz, 89, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday (June 19, 2001) at her home.Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.She was born Oct. 22, 1911, in Seattle. On June 3, 1930, in Everett, Wash, she married Charlie Schultz, who survives. They moved to Jacksonville from Montesano, Wash., in 1949 and celebrated their 71st wedding anniverary this year.Mrs. Schultz was a Girl Scout leader for a number of years.She enjoyed painting, making decorative cakes for her grandchildren, flower gardening and collecting tigers and stuffed animals.Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Charlotte May Hamilton, Medford, Mary Elizabeth Wojack, Central Point, and Shirley Ann Guches, Jacksonville; her 93-year-old brother, Burnett Sams, Seattle; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter.Arrangements: Perl-Siskiyou Funeral Home, Medford.
