Hello Margaret,
Thanks so much for your prompt response & all the info about Ira P. Chandler. My grandfather was Frank Marion Anderson, and his brother Gilbert Anderson penned this letter to Frank in 1933, recounting all about the "Old Timers."My grandfather was born in Talent, and his sister, Anna Anderson married the son of Jacob Wagner, John Marshall Wagner.(I presume that's who the Wagner Cemetary is named after?)In part of the letter it reads"Pa [Rev. Jesse Marion Anderson] took a claim joining Uncle Joe’s [Uncle Joe is Eli K. Anderson] on the east. There at the spring where the big bunch of willows was. Then he took up a claim up on the foothills above the old Myers Ranch.I am not sure which he had first, but come to think of it, it was the foothills first. Then we lived a while in the old Ira Chandler house out at the end of the lane near Bear Creek.
If I come across more info about Ira Chandler I will let you know.
Best regards,
Kris Norvig
