A funeral for Laura B. Wicker Kent is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday in Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Robert Rodin of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. A graveside service will follow, with members of the Degree of Pocahontas officiating.Mrs. Kent, 91, of Medford died Sunday (Feb. 21, 1988).Memorial contributions may be sent to the Zion Lutheran Church Eternal Light Fund, P.O. Box 1051, Medford, Ore. 97501.She was born Laura Kuhl, July 20, 1896, in Rapids, Wis. In Antigo, Wis., she married James A. Wicker, who died in 1963. In April 1966, she married Robert Marvin Kent, who died July 20, 1970.She was a resident of Medford for over 50 years.She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Degree of Pocahontas, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Navy Mothers, American Legion Auxiliary and Senior Citizens of Central Point.Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Lewis of Medford; two brothers, Elmer Kuhl of Sacramento, Calif., and Chester Kuhl of Rhinelander, Wis.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A son, Roland "Bud" Wicker and a daughter, Forrest Adeline Wicker, preceded her in death.Conger-Morris Funeral Directors of Medford handled arrangements.

Funeral services for James Angus Wicker, 64, of 809 Adams Lane, who died Monday will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Hillcrest Memorial Chapel on the North Phoenix Rd.The Rev. Harvey Coovert of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Committal will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Conger-Morris Funeral directors in charge of arrangements.Mr. Wicker was born July 24, 1898, in Colby, Wisc. He moved to southern Oregon from Wisconsin 27 years ago and was employed as an engineer by Medford Corporation retiring in 1959.He was a member of the Improved Order of Redman and of Zion Lutheran Church. He was married Oct. 29, 1914 at Antigo, Wisc. to Laura Kuhl, who survives.Other survivors include a son, Roland Wicker, Medford, and three grandchildren.Casket bearers will include Hens Holt, Lloyd Haugen, Ray Fernlund, Leonard Ray, Floyd Yarnell and Ted Sanger.
