The lady who answers requests here, Sally, is undoubtedly warmer, wiser, wittier, more gracious and better looking than I am. More punctual, too. She sent me the obit promptly, as promised, but I dwadled in transcribing it. Here it is:

Ede/Potter/Howe researcher I met on the Internet.

Obituaries, Filippa Welch.
The Oregon death Index has a "Dugan, Everett Lew" who died in Multnomah County on 13 Feb 1971, Birth Date: Apr 1904. That could be our Lewis Dugan, but it is a stretch. I can't find him married to Philippa in 1930, and the death record doesn't list a spouse.
This is all I could find on William McGrath:
Name: William Pinkney McGrath
Birth 22 Oct 1899
Death 28 Jul 1985 (age 85) Josephine County, Oregon
1. Filippa M. Welch
Marriage bet 1940 and 1980 (age 41)
William's last residence on the SSDI is in Jackson County, but the Oregon Death Index said he died in Josephine County. He may have been living in Rogue River and gone to a nursing home in Josephine county. More research needed.
I put in a 40-year marriage estimate to establish some context.
1. SSDI. William Mcgrath,22 Oct 1899 - Jul 1985; LR 97537 (Rogue River, Jackson, Or).
2. Oregon Death Index, 1903-98. Name: McGrath, William Pin; County: Josephine; Death Date: 28 Jul 1985; Certificate: 85-14370; Birth Date: 22 Oct 1899; Spouse: Philip.
