Mrs. George Halladey passed away quietly at her home last week after some months of failing health. The Halladeys were pioneers of the Oregon country, coming here from Minnesota in 1907.They settled in Drain. Later moving to Alvadore. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Halladey, three of them and Mr. Halladey have since passed on. The six remaining are Mrs. Carl Berger of Port Orchard, Wash. Mrs. R.V. Kraal, Crow, Ore. Mrs. Loris Hale, Oak Ridge, Ore. Mrs. John Livingston, Springfield, Ore. and Mrs. Donald Hawke and Ivan Halladey, both of Eugene.Interment in the Inman Cemetery.West Lane News Sept. 16, 1963, Veneta, Oregon This obit came from a book project I’m working on, I don’t know anything else about this person, or other obits in this area.
