H.J. Neave, a prominent farmer of the Riverview district passed away Tuesday after a long illness with cancer.Funeral services were held at the Riverview church this afternoon at two o’clock, conducted by Rev. Frederick Jennings of the Episcopal church of Eugene.Interment was made in the new IOOF cemetery in Eugene. Herbert James Neave was born in Norwich, England, August 10, 1863, being at the time of his death 64 years, 1 month, and 10 days of age. He came to America in 1882 and in 1889 was married Oct. 24, at Sibley, Iowa to Margaret Wallace. In 1901 the family moved to Junction City where Mr. Neave has been actively engaged in farming until about three years ago when ill health forced him to give up his work. Besides his widow, Mrs. Margaret Neave, Mr. Neaves leaves four children:Robert James of Eugene, Edward Wallace of the government agency at Kirk, Klamath county, Margaret Elizabeth and Herbert Clare of Junction City.Junction City Times Sept. 22, 1927Junction City, Oregon This obit came from a book project I’m working on, I don’t know anything else about this person, or other obits in this area.
