E.P. Saunders, an old time resident of Alvadore passed away in Sacred Heart Hospital, after a short illness.
Mr. Saunders came to Alvadore just after Oregon Land Co, had platted the land, and subdivided it.He owned a lumber yard at one time, as well as other businesses.He purchased land and built a home.His land was planted to fruit trees, chiefly apples.His peaches are known through out the country.Besides his wife, he leaves two children, a son, Max, of Klamath Falls, and a daughter, Mayfair, Mrs. Tom Myers of Drain, Ore.There are seven grand children.
He was a good neighbor, and kind friend, and will be greatly missed.Interment in Land Memorial Gardens.West Land News, July 23, 1964, Veneta, Oregon
