Rites for pioneer Friday afternoon
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon from the Mills chapel for Mrs. Alcenda C. Hawkins, age 93, who at the time of her death was one of the oldest living residents of this section. Death came to Mrs. Hawkins here after a long illness. A native of Green county, Pennsylvania, she had lived here for the past forty-eight years.
Surviving are two sons, Frank Hawkins of Cottage Grove, and Claude Hawkins of Portland, and two daughters, Mrs. Walter Houser of Eugene and Mrs. Stewart A. McGilvray of Bremerton, Washington. Also by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. ___________________
