Thomas W. Hansen, 74, of Salem, died Wednesday. He was born in Portland, where he graduated from Franklin High School. After serving as a fighter pilot in World War II, he attended Willamette University College of Law, graduating in 1940. He served 20 years as judge on Marion County District Court, retiring in 1981. Before joining the bench, he was in private practice and earlier was a deputy district attorney. He was a past president of the Oregon District Judges Association. Survivors include his wife, Maysel; sons, Ralph Hansen of Los Angeles and Stuart Springer of Walla Walla, Wash.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held. Private interment will be held in Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden mortuary.
