There were two newspapers in the area that ran the information about Neils Peter NEILSEN. The Hillsboro Independent, Friday, July 9, 1920 and The Hillsboro Argus, July 8, 1920. Some of the information didn't match. One paper said Neils died in a hospital in Portland and the other one said he died at his home. Only one gave the names of his 8 living children. The information on the one is very faint. I had found a book in one of the libraries that had typed up the information found in that newspaper, so I wrote it on the back of the photo copy. Neither newspaper had a specific section for obituaries or death and funeral notices. I also found and made a copy of the funeral notice for Mary in 1950, but didn't find an obiturary for her. I'm including the funeral notice in case you don't have it.
The following information is taken from both the newspapers on Neils: Neils Peter Neilsen Died Saturday and the funeral ws conducted Tuesday morning by Rev. H. A. Deck at the Hillsboro cemetery.
