THIS RILEY family were in Cecil County, MD in 1895 (when William and Dora married) then abt 1905, they moved to Pennsylvania around Renovo area abt 1905.
( I DO have census info from MD to PA up until abt 1930)
The thing is, I have located the family through various reliable sources.
I Know for FACT William and Dora were in Chester, PA in 1934 when William dies. In 1941, Dora is in living in the area of Media, PA. Her husband William died seven years earlier. Also this point in time she had relatives in Chicago, ILL; and Louisville, KY. Charles 'may' have been in Chicago area at this point. And Doras' grandchildren and their father VERN HARTER would have been in Louisville, KY. (Vern dies in 1963 there). I KNOW Charles was living in New Jersey, 1919, again in later years; Everett, PA in 1930-1931 as he lived with his RILEY COUSINS (also my relations) there for a time. He had two living children ( 1 died) but they were elsewhere at this time, probably with their mother, Mary Gertrude (Thomas). THIS is, 1941 (abt) is when I lose everyone. UNTIL Charles shows up in our home town in the late 1960's, his wife then DOTTIE remained in Del CO, PA. (I don't know her maiden name, age ( in 1970) or what happened to Dottie, when she died, where she is buried, etc.
William C. RILEY Dora LOVE Charles Mary Albert, First of Maryland, family moving to Renovo, Clinton Co; areas. Charles abt 1929 living in Philadelphia. He worked for the PA RR Then. He did live in the Chicago area, Tyrone, PA; San Francisco (abt 1957), was in Mexico and lastly moved to Bedford where he lived late 60's until his death in 1970. He came to our home and gave my mother a signed copy of his book to her. I saw him often back then. He lived just around the corner from us on Pitt Street.
Albert. I have no sign of him anywhere after abt 1931.
I am so hoping and praying SOMEONE out there has photographs of ANY of our family. What happened to them, where they moved, died are buried.
This would mean the world to me to be able to pass along our family line, but family members photographs to go along with it.
