The Kidds came from Ireland either 1884, 1888 or 1890 (different dates on censuses.Benjamin Franklin and his brothers, at least 2 if not 3, had a meat market (Kidd Meat Market) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after they arrived. I have found an Allen, Richard, Robert and William G. Kidd in the Philadelphia City Directories with occupations listed as meat, grocer, & butcher. I believe they may be Benjamin's brothers. In the 1900 Federal Census of Philadelphia, it lists an Agnes Kidd, widow, born Aug 1841 in Ireland with 2 sons, William G, born Aug 1873 in Ireland and Robert, born June 1877. William is listed as a grocer.
Benjamin married Minnie Grace Payton 16 May 1901 in Osage County, Kansas and their first 3 children, William George, Edith M and Minnie Grace were born in Germantown, Pennsylvania. June M, Franklin Benjamin, Roberta Jen, Virginia Helen, Milton Cebern and Florence were all born in Kansas. There was also another child born to them, unnamed, so I assume it did not survive. Does anyone have any information that may be of help to my long search?
