None of the resources available to me carry newspapers for the area of Dingman's Ferry, PA where in Jan 1981 an autombile accident claimed the lives of Thomas LAMBERT & his wife, Harriet nee QUICK.
I can access some papers for nearby Port Jervis & Middletown, NY but those papers over the stateline don't seem to have reported on this accident despite Thomas having been, originally, from the Port Jervis area and having a Lambert nephew living in Port Jervis.
The accident I'm seeking an article for happened in Jan 1981 on Rt. 209 in the area of Dingmans Ferry, PA due to slippery road conditions.
Killed instantly in the crash was Thomas LAMBERT of Matamoras. Several days later his wife Harriet(nee QUICK), who'd been driving, died in Matamoras from her injuries.
Obits associated with the deaths from this accident are for:
Thomas LAMBERT - b. 11 Nov 1901 Brooklyn, Kings, NY to Thomas LAMBERT, Sr & wife Grace Alice nee DeBOW; d. Jan 1981 Dingman's Ferry, Pike Co, PA.Thomas' widowed mother Grace moved to Port Jervis & died there in 1930 while Thomas later moved to & lived in Matamoras from abt. 1938 on wards.
Harriet nee QUICK - b. 22 Jun 1912 Pike, Co, PA to Charles Byron QUICK and his wife, Helen D. STREET;d. Jan 1981 Matamoras, Pike Co, PA.
The couple lived in Matamoras & were survived by 2 daughters & a son, all presumed to be still living.
I'm hoping someone with access to the Matamoras &/or Dingman's Ferry area newspapers for Jan 1981 can look-up & find an article(s) on the accident and obits for Thomas & Harriet.
