John James Booth, (b ca. 1870 d. July 10,1718,probably first of his name in Horry County, SC. Land division to his heirs was made Aug 7, 1818.It named his widow, who was later the wife of John Hux, and children. John Sarvis in his will of 1834 names as a daughter, Samantha Sarvis Hux, formerly widow Booth,(John J Booth). John James Booth married Samantha Sarvis, daughter of John Sarvis, who came from Ireland in the years prior to the Revolutionary War(1776).John Sarvis Jr. served as a soildier in the American Revolution.He married twice.His first wife's name was believed to be Cady Hatch.
